ABOUT PEEKAPOOS
A Peekapoo is a designer crossbreed between a Pekingese and a Toy Poodle. It can be friendly, affectionate, intelligent, and hypoallergenic. They are loyal companions, low-shedding, and easy to train.
This is one of the oldest designer mixed breeds, dating back to the 1950s. With a lifespan of 13 to 15 years, these puppies can grow from 6 to 20 lbs.
A Peekapoo's appearance can vary greatly, but it tends to have a soft, wavy coat in colors like Silver, White, Cream, Apricot, Red, Chocolate, or Black.
This breed can have a long, wavy coat if left to grow, but most owners tend to take these dogs to be groomed regularly. With long hair, expect to brush it daily to prevent knots and matts from forming.
Due to their short muzzle, they are described as a brachycephalic breed. This means they are prone to breathing difficulties and struggle to cope with extreme temperature changes. On a hot day, Peekapoos are at a higher risk of having a heat stroke.
